Sambad Health and Women Edit-a-thon was an offline edit-a-thon held in the month of April in collaboration with the Sambad media house, Odia Wikimedia User Group and the Center for Internet and Society.

The event was a two day long edit-a-thon, on the first day near about 8 journalists from the Sambad group took part in the orientation and on the second day 18 editors (new and existing) wrote articles on Odia Wikipedia. The event was a follow up of the previous year’s 100 women edit-a-thon which aimed to write articles on Women related topics and Women achievers of Odisha. The theme of this years’ edit-a-thon was to write articles on Women Health, Hygiene including social challenges.

Near around 20 staffs and 6 Wikimedians from Bhubaneswar took part in the event.
